about

Originally rippin’ from Edmonton, Alberta, Sean Bishop started friendlychaos as an indie-folk solo project after living life on the road in his teeny-tiny SUV, “Ips,” lovingly named after the genus of bark beetles.

Sean playing a nylon-string guitar on a couch, with a white electric guitar hanging on the wall behind him

Singing groovy tunes somewhere between Mac DeMarco, Angus & Julia Stone, and some other folky, jazzy artist of your choosing, Sean is quick with a witty joke and even quicker to get you yelping and hollering.

Despite his boyish charm and propensity for silliness, Sean writes and sings from the heart with raw emotion, touching on themes of love lost and earned, unfiltered longing, and nature often infused throughout.

Currently, friendlychaos is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
